Privacy Policy
Last updated 24 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Hoogoozat, a company established in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), United Arab Emirates (“Hoogoozat”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects personal and business information when you use our website, platform and related services (together, the “Services”). By using the Services you agree to the practices described here.
Hoogoozat is a business-to-business platform that lets companies list inventory, connect with their counterparties, transact in real time, and access financing across our B2B, real estate and education verticals.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Hoogoozat, registered in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. For any privacy questions, or to exercise your rights, contact us at info@hoogoozat.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account & company details — company name, address, trade licence details, contact name, email, phone, and the details of any sub-accounts you create.
- Verification & onboarding data — information used to verify your account, such as email verification codes.
- Financing due-diligence documents — where you apply for financing, documents you upload (e.g. audited financial statements, bank statements, trade licence, IDs of authorised signatories, and related materials) for our review.
- Transaction data — inventory listings, customer/supplier connections, bookings, pricing, margins, discounts, payment terms, and related records.
- Communications — support tickets, messages, and correspondence you send us.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage & device data — log data, IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, and actions taken on the platform.
- Presence & activity — sign-in activity and last-active timestamps used to operate the platform.
- Cookies & similar technologies — used to keep you signed in and to remember preferences (see section 9).
3. How we use your information
- To provide, operate, secure and improve the Services;
- To create and manage your account, connections and transactions;
- To assess, provide and administer financing, including reviewing due-diligence documents and approving or declining facilities;
- To communicate with you about your account, bookings, financing decisions and support requests;
- To detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse, security and technical issues;
- To comply with legal, regulatory, tax and anti-money-laundering (AML)/know-your-business (KYB) obligations;
- To send service and, where permitted, marketing communications (you can opt out of marketing at any time).
4. Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of our contract with you; your consent (which you may withdraw); our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services; and compliance with legal obligations.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the Services:
- Your counterparties — limited business information is shared with the companies you choose to connect and transact with (e.g. a supplier sees the customer they onboard).
- Service providers — cloud hosting, infrastructure, email delivery, analytics and similar vendors who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
- Financing & settlement partners — where you apply for or use financing, relevant information may be shared with our financing/settlement partners to assess and administer facilities.
- Legal & compliance — regulators, authorities or advisers where required by law or to protect our rights, users and the integrity of the platform.
- Corporate transactions — in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
6. Data retention
Because Hoogoozat is a system of record for B2B trade and financing, transaction and account records are retained for as long as your account is active and for the period required to meet legal, accounting, tax and audit obligations. When an account is closed we deactivate rather than delete it: the login is disabled and past dealings are retained on record, as the businesses you traded with rely on them for their own accounts and audits. You can reactivate by signing back in.
7. Security
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and restricting sensitive documents (such as financing files) to your account owner and authorised admins. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, update, or request deletion of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact info@hoogoozat.com. Note that certain records must be retained for legal and audit reasons even after account closure.
9. Cookies
We use strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the platform, and limited analytics to understand and improve usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect how the Services work.
10. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure an appropriate level of protection as required by applicable law.
11. Children
The Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Services or by email, and the “Last updated” date above will change.
